Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on Monday, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The boxer had been under observation while recovering from minor injuries, his management team confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”
