Eulogies Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the couple.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can now articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started passing more hours together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the production, remarking that he doesn't recollect "any day without joy".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge agreed to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the local authorities.

A legal directive put a restriction on the cases to restrict the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public figures expressed varying responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing divisive statements that were widely condemned by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the those speaking out last week. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and remarked they demonstrated a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser should have stepped in when the impulse to weigh in on the death was made.
