Kai Trump will have multiple high-profile backers when she starts her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates several golf courses and often competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she revealed.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He essentially told me to play and relax," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in only three events this year and has ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
However she can get advice from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with her mother.
"He stands as the best player globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior individual. He told me to play, have fun, following the flow."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in professional golf at the competition, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai exposes golf to wider groups, specifically reaching younger fans.
The social media influencer maintains a massive following and has started her own fashion and living label.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
